Just returned from 1 week stay here and had a lovely time, we stayed in apartment no 10 which was spacious & perfect as we had the kids play area right outside for our 6 year old and was close to the pool & bar area!

This place is a gem. There's no reason why it shouldn't always have a 5 star review. Pool perfect, plenty of room, lots of sunbeds. You get locals coming in to use the facilities and still plenty of room. It's quiet and peaceful, so relaxing.

Absolutely superb complex. After 24 years of annual vacations in Sidari and surrounding area, the Ostria Apartments stand head and shoulders above the rest. Fantastic rooms with everything you could need. Lovely bar and food, and the best and biggest pool we've ever found.

Ostria Studios/Apartments is a quiet oasis only 10 minutes from the center of Sidari. The town of Sidari is located at the northernmost part of Corfu and is surrounded by the most beautiful beaches of the island, in a unique green scenery. It features 5 independent buildings which consist by furnished studios and apartments. Each building has a studio (top floor) and an apartment (ground floor), created with great interest in an exceptional environment, offering serenity and comfort to its guests.Our guests have the opportunity to enjoy swimming in our pool, which is one of the largest in the area and has a separate swimming pool for children. Also, our young guests can have a great time at our playground in a specially fenced area. In the area of the pool bar you can taste exceptional Greek meals and amazing cocktails, while relaxing and overseeing the pool. Enjoy unique moments with your loved ones by having your own BBQ, all you need to do is ask for it. Ostria is ideal for couples, families or larger groups and generally for those who seek a small paradise between the sea and the sky, away from their daily routine.Also, we offer a large and comfortable parking space for your car.

Corfu, the wooded isle of the Phaeacians, Odysseus’ last stop on his long journey home to Ithaca, is the best known of the Ionian islands. It owes its sophistication and charm to the meshing of the different civilisations that have occupied the island and to the natural beauty with which it is so abundantly endowed. On this cosmopolitan island, you’ll be able to combine relaxation with good times and a full nightlife, for Corfu is an international tourist center, which can satisfy the demands of the most difficult visitor.The capital of the island is also called Corfu (Kerkyra). It is built on a promontory that projects into the sea and is separated into a northern and a southern section. East of the northern part lies the Old Fortress, cut off from the town by a moat. For centuries all the popular of Corfu lived within this citadel, which was founded by the Byzantines but greatly expanded and strengthened by the Venetians. The town of Corfu is made up of completely dissimilar elements, left over from different civilisations. It presents an enchanting picture with its broad streets and spacious squares, the popular Spianada – the town “green” – contrasting with its narrow back alleys paved with blocks of stone (known as “Kantounia”), houses with a strong Italian influence, the famous Liston, a French arcade, traditional Georgian mansions, a Byzantine church, Venetian monuments, balconies with wrought, iron railings and window grilles.

Sightseeing in Town

<ul><li>Paleokastrltsa, 26 kilometres west of Corfu town, a miniature earthly paradise with its crystal clear waters, enchanting coves and lush greenery growing right up to the sea.</li><li>Angelokastro, near Paleokastritsa, a Byzantine fortress dating from the 13th century.</li><li>Pelekas, 13 kilometres west of the town, a lovely village set on a rocky hill, whose summit – according to the Corfiots say – is the best place to watch the sun go down. Not far from Pelekas in the Ropa Valley is situated Corfu’s excellent golf course.</li><li>Kanoni, 4 kilometres south of town is the most popular spot on the island. Here a narrow causeway leads across the water to the Monastery of Vlacherna and from there one can take a caique to visit delightful Pondikonissi and its 13th century church.</li><li>Gastouri, a picturesque hill village, is the site of the Achillion, the summer palace of the Empress Elizabeth of Austria and the last Kaiser. The Palace has many beautiful gardens ideal for a romantic walk. A part of it places an important museum as well.</li><li>Other sights not to be missed include, on the east side of the island Kassiopi, Ipsos, Dassia, Gouvia, Benitses, Moraitika and Messongi. On its west side Lake Korission (Limni Korission), the only lake on the island.</li></ul>

Sightseeing on the island

Once just a collection of houses, the beach resort of Sidari has developed ribbon-like along the road from Corfu Town. The main town is just under 2,5 klm long and not more than 1 klm at its widest. It is one of the most rapidly developing resorts in Corfu and most of the latest developments are family-owned, small-scale apartment blocks with nothing over 3 levels. The small, busy center has a one-way traffic system. Parts of the beach front remain pleasantly underdeveloped. Neighbouring, Canal d'Amour is a secondary resort built on top of the unusual soft sandstone cliffs, which have eroded to create numerous inlets and sandy coves, reached by steep ladders; the farthest ones are less frequented and used for gaining all-over tans.

<ul><li>Market/Suitability: Safe, quiet, family package-holiday destination. Walkers will appreciate the gentle hills.</li><li>Beaches: Long, narrow, beaches of sand and shingle. The sea is often incredibly calm, almost pond-like and shallow for a long way. Sand and shingle coves can be found below the low eroded cliffs to the west.</li><li>Shopping: A few clothes shops; a number of jewellery shops. Small supermarkets.</li><li>Entertainment: Usual beach activities; water sports, pedal boats and canoes; hill and coastal walks; water park.</li><li>Nightlife: Discos and lots of bars; many offer videos and cocktails.</li><li>Eating out: Greek tavernas; all-day British breakfasts; a couple of Chinese; 1 Indian; pizzerias.</li><li>Public transport: No local transport around the resort, but a cheap, reliable bus service runs to Corfu Town (7 or 8 per day), Kassiopi (4 per day) and San Stefanos (4 per day), with a more limited service from the Canal d'Amour end of the resort. Car and bike hire.</li><li>Local excursions: Full day: wide choice of coach tours throughout the island, including Corfu Town, Paleokastritsa, Greek ruins and water park; boat tours to the islands of Paxos and Erikoussa, the Greek mainland at Parga; beach cruises.</li></ul>
